Almost 60,000 people attended in-person events during this year's London Games Festival.

The organisers announced the collection of 20 free and ticketed games events – which included the Games Finance Market, games curio showcase Now Play This and consumer exhibition WASD – saw 58,000 people coming to the UK capital over the course of 12 days.

Among them were 3,500 developers, publishers, investors and other games professionals – double the trade attendance of LGF 2022. Industry attendees hailed from around 800 games companies from over 40 countries.

Games London, the organisation behind LGF, added that digital showcases and in-game events in titles such as Pokemon Go, Roblox and Golf Clash, also reached hundreds of thousands of people.

One of the staples of the London Games Festival is the Ensemble exhibit, showcasing profiles for industry professionals from underrepresented groups. GamesIndustry.biz has published interviews with two of this year's cohort – No Code's Romana Ramzan and Larky Labs' Roman Alkan – with a third to follow in the coming weeks.
