Tandem Events announces business and development workshops

London classes to teach on motion control and how to make money from self-publishing

Tandem Events is to hold a series of three workshops in London, aimed at professional developers working in the areas of design, production and business.

On February 25, Nicholas Lovell will lead a business master class, entitled How to Make Money from Self-Publishing, aimed at those making games for any number of outlets, including WiiWare and Facebook.

And on the same day the design class How to Design a Game with Motion will also take place, led by game designer Ernest Adams. The day aims to act as an introduction for developers who haven't yet made games for motion input devices.

The class How to Effectively Apply Agile Product Management Practices with Scrum will take place on the later date of March 2.

"One of the things our research has told us is that game developers really appreciate the opportunity to explore certain topics in depth and to share and learn from their fellow developers – all with a view to furthering their professional development," said Andy Lane, Tandem Events managing director.

"These MasterClasses have been designed to do just that – covering current 'hot' topics such as self-publishing, agile project management and designing a game with motion."

Each class will have a maximum of 30 delegates, and create an interactive workshop for attendees to learn and mix with other developers.

There are reduced prices for those registering early. Booking details can be found on the event's website.
