Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak sells 4 million units globally

The expansion hit the sales milestone within two months after launching

Today, gaming firm Capcom has revealed that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has sold over 4 million units globally.

The expansion to 2021's Monster Hunter Rise launched on June 30.

Capcom also shared that to date, Monster Hunter Rise has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide.

Last month, Rise was the biggest selling boxed game in Japan and in the US, it was the twentieth best-selling title during July.

Additionally, Capcom shared that the Monster Hunter franchise has sold over 86 million units globally.

The monster hunting RPG series debuted in 2004 for the PlayStation 2.
