Lazlow Jones left Rockstar Games to work on Disney and Netflix shows

Former GTA writer and in-game radio DJ also consulting with an unknown games company

Lazlow Jones left Rockstar Games earlier this year.

According to Jones' LinkedIn profile, he left in April after 19 years at the Grand Theft Auto developer, where he served as writer, director and producer on many of Rockstar's biggest games.

He is also known for appearing as an in-game radio DJ and personality in all Grand Theft Auto games since 2001's GTA 3.

He was co-chair of Rockstar's production department and oversaw all in-game creative audio and video content, such as the in-game radio and TV programmes.

The news has only surfaced in the past few days, with YouTuber GTAmen credited for spotting his departure.

On his profile, Jones wrote that he is currently working on multiple projects, including developing new shows for Disney and Netflix and consulting for an unnamed video games company.

He is also working with a Comedy Central writer and director and a former DreamWorks producer and director.

A recent Instagram post suggests Jones left Rockstar at least in part to take care of family. He is primary caregiver for his sister, who has accelerated cancer.

Jones left Rockstar Games just a couple of months after its co-founder, Dan Houser, also departed.
