EA announces new PGA Tour title

Long-term deal will see the publisher return to the links for first time since 2015

Today, EA Sports revealed a new long-term deal with the PGA Tour to create a new golf titles.

EA previously published PGA Tour games for decades, but stopped in 2015 with Rory McIlroy PGA Tour. That was the only PGA Tour game with McIlroy in the title; previously the franchise relied on a long-term partnership with Tiger Woods.

PGA Tour isn't the only franchise EA Sports is planning to reboot for modern consoles. The publisher revealed that it intends to release a new college football game that reportedly will launch in 2023.

EA's PGA Tour will have some competition when it arrives, as 2K announced earlier this month it acquired the developer of its PGA Tour 2K21 and signed a long-term exclusivity deal with Tiger Woods to support the franchise.
