Spaceball: Revolution

Retro arcade game launches on DSiWare tomorrow.

Madrid 26/03/2010

The Spanish game developer Virtual Toys will launch on April 2nd its latest creation, Spaceball: Revolution TM . This highly addictive arcade game will be available through Nintendo’s on-line distribution channel, the Nintendo DSi TM Shop, across Europe and Australia.

The game

Spaceball: RevolutionTM has cool, eye-catching 80’s retro graphics and a funky soundtrack to keep you in the winning zone.

The goal is to finish the different levels of the game by copying the shapes that are shown at the top screen. In order to copy the shown image, energy balls thrown by the player using the Nintendo DS stylus will activate or deactivate squares of the grid upon contact.

Spaceball: RevolutionTM has been designed in a very wide range of players, adapting the gameplay accurately so you never get bored. It begins at a simple level and reaches up to 15 levels of increasing difficulty for the most competitive.

Throughout the fifteen levels of the game, new obstacles appear including cubes, hoops, laser rays, asteroids, cylinders, pendulums and balls! Each obstacle has unique properties, like being static, mobile, invisible, destroyable and indestructible. The player has to remember every behaviour pattern to evade the obstacles on each throw, ensuring there is maximum time to replicate each shape!

As if the obstacles and enemies are not challenging enough, many “special effects” will make your journey to the end of the game even more difficult, with sudden spins of the world, auto-balls and cosmic cameras all out to disrupt the player’s aim!

How to purchase the game

Spaceball: RevolutionTM is only available if you have Internet access on you Nintendo DSi, you will not find it in the stores. You can easily download the game on your system, acquiring it on Nintendo DSi Shop.
