Room 8 to acquire PUGA Studios

The addition of the Brazil-based creative art outfit continues developer's ongoing expansion activities

Today external developer Room 8 Group announced that it will purchase creative art company PUGA studios.

Based-out of Brazil, the outfit has offered production services for companies such as Gearbox software, Jam City, and Kwalee.

With the acquisition Room 8 says that it intends to continue expanding into global markets.

"PUGA joining Room 8 Group is another step forward in our ongoing global expansion, including offices, teams, and service offerings," said Room 8 chairman, Sviatoslav Pohrebnoi.

"We unite in one group top-class complex art solutions and stylized art productions, it goes across all stages of creative game development, from early pre-production through post-production and into live ops."

The addition of PUGA is among recent business growth that Room 8 has been active in.

Last month the company purchased art studio Massive Black and during the month of February it opened new office locations in Spain, Romania, Poland, and Serbia.
