Update: Amazon has confirmed it has launched Luna in the UK, Germany and Canada.

A blog post offers an introduction to the cloud gaming service for new users, including links to buy the Luna console in the three territories. (The service is also compatible with keyboard and mouse, as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamepads)

"With Amazon Luna, we're making gaming easier and more convenient by offering instant access to console-quality games on devices customers already own," said Eric Saarnio, vice president of Amazon Devices International.

"Gamers in the US have been enjoying Luna for the past year so we're thrilled to now expand the service to customers in Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom."

In the UK, a Luna+ subscription will cost £8.99 per month, while Ubisoft+ Multi Access is available for £14.99. The Jackbox Games subscription is £3.99 per month.

Original story: Amazon has launched its cloud gaming service Luna in multiple key territories, including the UK, Germany, and Canada.

TechAeris reports the three new territories now have access to the service, while Ubisoft has confirmed UK subscribers to Ubisoft+ will now be able to play games via the cloud on Amazon's servers.

Amazon announced Luna back in 2020 and initially launched it in the US in March 2022.

The cloud gaming service is notably different to others in the space as you don't specifically need to subscribe to Amazon in order to access it.

Ubisoft+ subscribers will gain access to the Ubisoft titles available on Luna, while Jackbox Games has its own separate subscription on Luna.

Amazon Prime subscribers get access to a rotating selection of titles, or users can subscribe specifically to Luna if they want the full library but do not want the wider, more expensive Amazon subscription.

Subscribers to Luna or any supported services can access their games via PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Amazon's Fire tablets and TV, and selected Samsung Smart TVs.

Ubisoft has today announced that Luna support has been added for the publisher's UK subscribers via Ubisoft+ Multi Access. This allows them to access their Ubisoft+ subscription and games via PC and now Luna across multiple devices.

Other titles available on Luna include Capcom's Devil May Cry 5 and the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, Sega's Sonic Mania and Alien Isolation, Remedy's Control, Codemasters' Dirt Rally 2.0, and Plaion's Metro Exodus and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
