Zynga buys MarketZero team

Talent behind PokerTableRankings becomes eleventh acquisition in as many months

Zynga has bought the team behind PokerTableRatings.com, MarketZero, making its eleventh acquisition in as many months.

The company will not operate or acquire MarketZero's existing business, instead putting the talent to work on Zynga Poker.

The co-founders of MarketZero, Gustavo Abdala, Amir Elaguizy, Nir Leibovich, Timothy Sullivan and Jason Wang, all now join Zynga.

"The team's experience and deep knowledge of the online poker industry will be invaluable as we work together to build out cutting-edge features and further enhance Zynga Poker," said the social gaming company.

Recent Zynga acquisitions include Unoh in Japan, Dextrose in Germany, China's XPD and Area/Code and Newtoy, both based in the US.
