Wii Zapper to come bundled with new Zelda title

Nintendo has revealed that its new Wii Zapper will come bundled with a spin-off from the popular The Legend of Zelda series.

Nintendo has revealed that its new Wii Zapper will come bundled with a spin-off from the popular The Legend of Zelda series.

Link's Crossbow Training will be included with the new peripheral when it goes on sale November 19 in the US, for USD 19.99 (EUR 14.4).

The Wii Zapper houses the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, turning the innovative control system into a light-gun style peripheral.

"The Wii Zapper combines our remarkable controllers into one housing with a classic style reminiscent of arcade-style games," commented George Harrison, senior VP of marketing for Nintendo.

"Both veteran and first-time players will find it brings a whole new dimension to games where targeting is key and provides even more exciting gameplay experiences."

As well as the dedicated Zelda title from Nintendo, third-party publishers have already pledged support for the Wii Zapper.

EA's Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Sega's Ghost Squad and Capcom's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles will all feature Zapper functionality.
