Ubisoft to partner with EGAL at UC Berkeley to research industry diversity

Company to provide support and research materials for MBA student projects

Ubisoft has announced today that it will partner with the Center of Equity, Gender, and Leadership (EGAL) at UC Berekeley's Haas School of Business to provide support for MBA students researching gender equality in the games industry.

The company will supply materials and support to anywhere from two to four MBA students in the school beginning during this semester as they work on research projects related to gender equality and diversity in the business. The students will present their ultimate findings to both Ubisoft and EGAL.

Ubisoft will also collaborate with the EGAL advisory board and various other industry leaders to examine applied research in the field.

"As a sponsor of EGAL we are proud to provide support to the center with research materials this semester," said Ubisoft VP of operation Rich Kubiszewski. "EGAL is doing important work in engaging and providing a space for conversation about gender equity and diversity in business, and is something of interest not just for Ubisoft but the video game industry as a whole."
