Ubisoft bringing subscription service to Xbox

Ubisoft+ to provide subscribers access to new releases, DLC, and season passes

Today publisher Ubisoft announced that it intends to bring its subscription service Ubisoft+ to the Xbox platform but provided no specific date.

Ubisoft+ is currently available on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna, and offers a collection of 100 games from the present and past for consumers to play.

It also provides subscribers access to new releases, DLC, season passes and more.

The Ubisoft+ news came alongside word that the publisher would be adding Rainbow Six Extraction to Microsoft's Game Pass program when the game launches January 20.

"Rainbow Six Extraction for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members is just the beginning," said Ubisoft SVP of strategic partnerships and business development Chris Early.

"Ultimately, we will offer the Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox owners so that they can enjoy the full extent of our Ubisoft+ game library, including new releases, on their consoles."
