The Last of Us Part 2 gets a new release date

Naughty Dog's sequel now planned for June 19; Ghost of Tsushima to follow in July

Naughty Dog and Sony have given The Last of Us Part 2 a new release date following its former delay, with the game now planned for launch on June 19, 2020.

Sony announced the news today, saying that the new dates were possible due to "an ease in the global distribution environment".

The title was originally planned for next month, but was delayed due to release logistics connected to COVID-19.

However, it seems that major parts of the game have been leaked online over the weekend, with the leak rumored to be the work of a Naughty Dog employee.

Alongside The Last of Us Part 2's new release date, Sony has also given an official release date for Ghost of Tsushima of July 17, 2020.

Iron Man VR, which was delayed out of May alongside The Last of Us Part 2, remained delayed indefinitely.
