Sony denies Last Guardian death

PS3 title still incoming promises developer

A Sony developer has confirmed that work on PlayStation 3 title The Last Guardian is still ongoing, despite its notable absence from this year's Tokyo Game Show.

I give you my word that it exists," the unnamed Japanese developer told Kotaku. "We are working on it."

"There are lots of pieces of the puzzle," he explained. "It's a matter of getting them to fit together."

He added that the game was probably prematurely announced. It first went on show at E3 in 2009. A release date of 2011 was announced the next year, but the game has since seen delays and the loss of designer and director Fumito Ueda as a full time member of the Sony team.
