Rare to deliver motion control keynote at Develop 2010

Creative director Andreas to talk about studio's Natal launch title

Rare creative director George Andreas is to deliver a keynote on the Microsoft studio's Project Natal launch title at this year's Develop conference, which takes place in Brighton in July.

In his presentation, entitled 'The Future IS Controller-Free Games and Entertainment' - Andreas will talk candidly about how Rare is creating one of the premier launch titles for Project Natal.

He will also discuss the challenges a new design philosophy for Natal has brought the studio, warning: "Everything you've learnt over the last 25 years - throw it away!"

The presentation will also take a brief look at Rare's last entry into the physical play space, and outline its vision for the future of physical-based gaming.

Andreas has worked within the games industry for over 18 years and been involved in the creation of a number of Rare titles, including Donkey Kong Country, Banjo Kazooie, DK64 and Kameo.

The Develop in Brighton Conference will take place between July 13-15. Other confirmed speakers for the event are Peter Molyneux and Tim Schafer.
