Sony is producing a Gravity Rush movie

Emily Jerome is set to write the movie’s script while Anna Mastro has been named as director

Another PlayStation IP is being adapted for film as PlayStation Productions and Scott Free Productions have begun development of a movie based on Gravity Rush.

Gravity Rush is a 2012 adventure title developed by Japan Studio's Team Gravity, as players stepped into the role of the gravity-controlling Kat.

As reported by Deadline, Emily Jerome, producer of Panopticon, is working on the script. Anna Mastro, who has worked on Shameless and The Bold Type is set to direct the film.

It's currently unknown if PlayStation Productions will distribute the movie.

Gravity Rush joins Sony's expanding film and TV offerings of its PlayStation IPs that are currently in development.

Last week, it was also reported that Days Gone, a 2019 PlayStation survival horror game, will be adapted to live-action.
