GlobalStep acquires Testology

Founder and MD Andy Robson resigns but all other employees retained, firm renamed GlobalStep

UK QA specialist Testology has been acquired GlobalStep for an undisclosed sum.

Based near notable games hub Guildford, the company will be rebranded to match the name of its new parent and continue to operate from its current offices.

All Testology employees will be kept on in their established roles, although founder and managing director Andy Robson is resigning. After 12 years at the company, he will pursue new opportunities.

"I'm very impressed by the strong vision and passion for excellence which GlobalStep brings to the games industry," said Robson. "It is precisely the fresh direction that Testology needs at this juncture. I know that the combined organisation will do an amazing job in creative value for its clients.

GlobalStep already has other game service operations around the world. It is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with other offices across North America, Europe and Asia.

CEO Gagan Ahluwalia welcomed all the new personnel, and said having a presence in the UK will "provide us an excellent means to integrate our global capabilities from Montreal and India in a localised context."
