Organisers of this summer's Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival have issued a final call to those who wish to take advantage of the special discounted ticket rate.

Organisers of this summer's Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival have issued a final call to those who wish to take advantage of the special discounted ticket rate.

Members of ELSPA, TIGA, BAFTA, PACT, DCF, IGDA and ESA have until July 15 to book places at the reduced price of UKP 165 (plus VAT). This discounted rate also applies to all delegates attending the Women in Games conference.

EIEF is an event designed to "showcase the evolution, convergence and impact of interactive entertainment on popular culture and to encourage debate on the future direction of the industry."

Leading industry figures already signed up to speak include Ray Maguire, senior VP and MD of Sony Computer Entertainment UK, Eidos' Ian Livingstone and Nintendo's David Yarnton.

A series of Game Screenings, open to members of the public, are also planned, along with European premieres of EyeToy: Kinetic, 24: The Game, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Lionhead Studios' The Movies.

EIEF will take place from August 10-14 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. To book a place, email booking@eief.co.uk. More information can be found at the official EIEF website.
