EA Sports picks up AC Milan and Inter Milan licenses

Milan clubs did not renew licenses with Konami; AS Roma parts ways with EA

EA Sports has announced that it has signed multi-year licensing partnerships with Italian football clubs Inter Milan and AC Milan, which will see both clubs added to EA Sports FIFA.

Both clubs will appear in FIFA 21 in October, with EA's sports title holding exclusivity rights to use player likenesses, kits, and stadia for each team in the FIFA series.

This comes after both clubs failed to renew their licenses with Konami earlier this year, which will likely result in the Milan clubs being given fictitious names and kits in future PES releases.

Additionally, EA has announced it has ended its partnership with AC Roma and that the team will appear in FIFA 21 as Roma FC -- though the publisher says the real-world players from AC Roma will still appear in Roma FC.

EA also recently announced it has renewed its partnership with Spanish football club La Liga.
