DNA Games becomes Zynga's 14th acquisition in 12 months

Company to focus on next-generation development for social games giant

Social games company Zynga has acquired DNA Games, its 14th acquisition in 12 months.

The creator of Casino City, Slot City and Bar World was founded in 2009 by Jon Lee and Shaun Hasse, who become general manager and SVP of product development, respectively.

"DNA Games has a proven track record developing highly engaging social games and a technology platform that enables rapid iteration and optimisation of game features and design," said Zynga.

"Their expertise will be a valuable asset in next-generation game development for Zynga."

Zynga's extreme focus on acquisitions over the past year has resulting in swoops for XPD in Beijing, Wonderland Software from the UK, Area/Code in New York, Germany's Dextrose and Tokyo's Unoh Games, amongst others.
