Free, browser-based online strategy game launches European closed beta.

Dublin, Ireland – 21st of December 2009. Gala Networks Europe, leading free-to-play online games publisher, announces today the launch of the Closed Beta phase of its latest project: the free online strategy game Castle of Heroes. Available in English, French, German and Polish without no download required, the Flash-based game has opened its doors to a limited number of testers who will be able to discover and battle in the world of Gaia before the game’s official launch - scheduled for early January 2010.

From today, the world of Gaia is open to players from all Europe for the first European closed beta phase. All users with a valid gPotato.eu account now have access to Castle of Heroes by a simple click from the official website http://heroes.gpotato.eu and can start building their realm in a fully localised game. But be fast: access to the closed beta-test will be limited, and it’s first come, first served! More room will be made during the days following the start of the beta-test until the world reaches full capacity.

In order to allow players to experience the most content possible during the duration of the closed beta-test, gifts and contests will take place each week from today and users will be able to receive special cards, XP boosts, extra resources and many more surprises ! Closed-beta testers will also be able to get an early access to the final version of the game to be launched in early 2010, and will receive a special forum avatar to display their dedication to the game in the official game forums.

The official launch of Castle of Heroes is scheduled for early January in English, French, German and Polish. The game will be available on both PC and Mac, for free and with no download required: just login to the official website using your web browser and your existing gPotato.eu account details and you can jump in the battle right away !
