Buffalo Studios latest to accuse Zynga of copycat tactics

Says Zynga Bingo is a rip off of its popular title, Bingo Blitz

Zynga has again been accused of copying another developer's game, after Buffalo Studios pointed out that the new Zynga Bingo bears more than a passing resemblance to its title, Bingo Blitz.

"We wanted to alert you to the striking similarities between Zynga's recently announced game, to our game Bingo Blitz," Salim Mith, vice president of product marketing and operations told VentureBeat.

The message came with a handy infographic showing images of the games side by side.

Just last week Tiny Tower creators NimbleBit levelled similar accusations at the social gaming company, over a startling likeness between its iOS hit and Zynga's new Dream Heights. The fact that Zynga had previously tried, and failed, to buy Nimblebit only added fuel to the fire.

Today Spry Fox filed copyright charges against 6Waves Lolapps for similar reasons. It alleges 6Waves Lolapps published an apparent clone of Triple Town, after missing out on the chance to publish it on Facebook.

Zynga has yet to respond publicly to the accusations.
