Ubisoft detailed the next-gen upgrades that its games will be benefiting from on Xbox Series X | S and PS5.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Far Cry 6, and Riders Republic will all be running in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X and PS5, the publisher said. Rainbow Six Siege will be getting an upgrade enabling 120 frames per second in 4K.
Players who buy PS4 or Xbox One copies of Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, Far Cry 6, Riders Republic and Rainbow Six Siege will be able to upgrade their copy to next-gen hardware at no extra cost.
A couple of titles -- Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising -- will also be benefiting from cross-progression through Ubisoft Connect, meaning saves will be stored in the cloud and allow you to play on any device. These two titles also seem to be taking advantage of the new consoles' spatial audio technology.
Faster loading times compared to the previous generation is mentioned for almost every title on both Xbox devices as well as the PS5, thanks to their high speed SSD.
It looks like a few Ubisoft games have also been designed to make use of the PS5 controller's haptic feedback, including Immortals Fenyx Rising and Watch Dogs: Legion. The latter will also benefit from ray tracing on both Xbox Series X | S and PS5.
Immortals Fenyx Rising and Riders Republic will also be HDR compatible.
Finally, Ubisoft noted that Just Dance 2021 will be compatible with the new consoles but will not benefit from specific upgrades.
