Voice actors launch free initiative to help developers improve their scripts

Mass Effect, Firewatch, and Gone Home voice actors found Specialized Workshops And Actor Tactics

Veteran voice actors Jennifer Hale, Sarah Elmaleh, and Cissy Jones have launched a new initiative to help developers improve their game scripts.

Launched as part of post-production service The Halp Network, the Specialized Workshops And Actor Tactics (SWAAT) aims to give a "vivid and reliable a sense of your script's strength and readability" by offering pre-casting table reads.

The service is entirely free, and also offers Virtual Table service for developers outside of Los Angeles, where the organisation is based.

While all actors involved with SWAAT are in the SAG-AFTRA union, the project does not need to be union, and developers are under no obligation to hire the actors afterwards.

Sessions last two hours, and there is a limit of two free sessions per project. As the service is still new and scaling, it's currently available by referral only.
