Zattikka acquires Monty Python rights

Terry Gilliam lends a hand for Facebook game

Social games company Zattikka has acquired the rights to create a game based on comedy troupe Monty Python's Flying Circus.

With the involvement of animator and film director Terry Gilliam, the title is due for Facebook and other websites.

"Monty Python is one of the most iconic comedy licenses around, but there has been no new material for over 20 years," commented Tim Cheney, CEO.

"By acquiring these rights we will be transporting Monty Python into the 21st Century, with a totally new experience for their unique comedy that will delight old and new fans alike."

Earlier this year Zattikka raised $5.5 million in funding from parent company Expedite 5.
