Youdagames/S.A.D. deal

Hilversum - March 17, 2010 – The Dutch casual games developer Youdagames and casual games distributor in German, French and British retail S.A.D. (Purple Hills), officially start a cooperation to introduce the worldwide successful online games of Youdagames in retail in several European countries. Following the successful start in Germany with the two Youda Legend titles, the companies now signed an exclusive contract for distribution of more games developed by Youdagames. Besides Germany, Austria and Switzerland games will also be distributed in France and the UK. The first new titles will be available in stores this spring.

So far, Youdagames has mainly focused on distributing their games online on game portals worldwide. To reach a larger target group, the company signed a cooperation deal with S.A.D. to get the successful games into retail in several European countries as well.

“S.A.D. proved its potential as a publisher of casual games in German retail with our first two Youda Legend titles. Youdagames has already proved to be successful in digital distribution of high quality casual games. Bringing both competences together we believe this will result in a strong partnership.“, says Jurriaan van Teunenbroek, COO at Youdagames.

In Germany all Youda titles will be in stores within the next couple of months, the French casual gamers will find the two Youda Legend titles, Youda Farmer and still to be released time management game Youda Safari in stores soon. In the UK S.A.D. signed for the two time management games, Youda Farmer and Youda Safari. “We haven’t seen such a good line up from one developer since long time and we and we are looking forward bringing this fresh ideas into the shelves”, says Ralf Wetzel, Head of Games at S.A.D.
