Game studio World Makers has received $4 million in a recent funding round.

Makers Fund led the investment, which will go towards the development of its second title, Deceit 2.

Founded by James Thompson and Jord Fox, World Makers' first game was Deceit, a multiplayer horror, released in 2017.

The sequel will be the studio's first home console release when it launches across multiple platforms.

"This new investment round lays the path to the future for our studio and allows us to continue supporting our passionate community as we craft the next generation of online multiplayer games."

In 2021, the game developer raised $3 million in a seed investment round.
