Wizards of the Coast opens new Austin-based studio, Skeleton Key

Games industry vet Christian Dailey is appointed the developer's studio head and vice president

Wizards of the Coast has announced its new video game studio, Skeleton Key today.

Based-out of Austin, Texas the developer will focus on creating AAA titles.

The company joins Wizards of the Coast's slate of North American game studios which includes Archetype Entertainment, Atomic Arcade, and Tuque Games.

Additionally, it was announced that Christian Dailey has joined Wizards of the Coast to serve as vice president and studio head of Skeleton Key.

Throughout his more than 20-year career in the games industry he's worked in senior leadership roles at companies such as EA and Blizzard Entertainment.

"We are thrilled to continue to build our roster of exceptionally talented digital gaming leaders and welcome Christian to the team," said Wizards of the Coast president and digital gaming, Cynthia Williams.
