Windows XP: The Official Magazine celebrates 50th issue with bumper promotion

Milestone collectors’ special issue comes with three Microsoft Guidebooks and Golden Ticket Giveaway!

22/08/05: Future's Microsoft Windows XP: The Official Magazine is celebrating its half-century later this month. To mark the occasion the magazine is offering three Microsoft guidebooks for free and a chance for readers to win one of fifty prizes in an instant win competition.

The special collector's issue comes with condensed versions of Microsoft's own range of guidebooks on Windows XP covering beginner, intermediate and expert levels. The magazine also comes with a coverdisc featuring the '50 best Windows XP programs ever' an amazing collection of third-party software.

Inside copies of the popular computing title's print run are 'Golden Tickets' which entitle fifty winners to a prize - including a top of the range PC, security software, motherboards and more.

The October issue on sale 1^st September provides readers with the '50 Best Windows XP Tips' - an in-depth guide to the most important and useful tips, tricks and hints readers will ever need to get the most out of Windows XP. The tips cover security, crash proofing, optimising, cleaning and customisation of PCs.

The milestone issue contains the very latest insider information on Windows XP successor, Windows Vista.
