Wikia and PLAYXPERT partner to Deliver Game-Specific Information To Gamers While In-Game

New Widget Empowers Gamers With Game Centric Info from Fastest Growing Wiki Community

August 1, 2007- Wikia, Inc, the largest gaming wiki community and PLAYXPERT, LLC, the provider of next-generation in-game community management tools, today announced the general release of the PLAYXPERT Wiki Widget, now available for download from www.playxpert.com. This partnership leverages the PLAYXPERT widget architecture and powerful overlay system to deliver a seamless experience for gamers using Wikia as a source of game information, stories, media and opinions.

Under the partnership Wikia will bundle and distribute PLAYXPERT to the Wikia user community. This distribution includes the Wikia all-in-one widget that allows users to search, read, and contribute to any of Wikia's community wiki's. In addition, the distribution includes the standard PLAYXPERT widgets like a universal chat widget (supporting AIM, Xfire, Yahoo, and MSN), a Tunes widget allowing users to manage their music in-game, and a PC Diagnostics widget allowing users to monitor their PC key performance indicators. The partnership delivers significant value to gamers as a key productivity tool allowing gamers to research, contribute, and collaborate without leaving the game.

"We are delighted to be working with PLAYXPERT-their technology fits perfectly into our core mission of enabling communities to create, share and discover information on the topics their most passionate about," said Angie Shelton Wikia's Gaming Goddess. "By bringing Wikia game content to gamers while in-game, we're effectively empowering gamers to tap into and contribute to our knowledge base seamlessly, without requiring them to dramatically change their in-game experience."

Since Wikia's launch in November 2004, more than 700,000 articles on 2,700 topics have been created and edited by over 200,000 registered users in 70 languages. Wikia is currently home to several popular game-related wikis, including: WoW Wiki, The Starcraft Wiki, EQ2I Wiki, The Final Fantasy Wiki, Age of Conan Wiki, Halopedia and Wookieepedia.

"Wikia has become a valuable resource to both casual and hardcore gamers seeking to stay on top of new information relevant to their favorite games. By enabling Wikia's depth of facts, news and media components to be available in-game, PLAYXPERT users get an upper hand on the game they're playing," said CEO of PLAYXPERT, Charles Manning.
