Wargaming opens Belgrade and Warsaw studios

Restructuring follows the company leaving Russia and Belarus

Wargaming is to open two new offices in Belgrade, Serbia and Warsaw, Poland.

This restructuring follows the company's withdrawal from Russia and Belarus in response to the war in Ukraine.

These two new studios will be employing over 400 people, joining six other offices across Europe.

Wargaming Belgrade is to focus on both development and publishing, the announcement said, across the World of Tanks and World of Warships franchises.

Wargaming Warsaw meanwhile will focus on publishing, with a small team to start with.

CEO Victor Kislyi commented: "Warsaw and Belgrade were logical choices for these new locations, both are fast developing technology sectors with enormous potential.

"We look forward to working closely with both cities' IT communities to build best-in-class game development and publishing units. Wargaming continues to move forward with big plans for the future. The Belgrade and Warsaw locations will be essential for accomplishing our goals."
