Game engine maker's third annual award winners announced, with $9,500 in prizes trousered.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – November 1st, 2009 – At the Unite conference, Unity Technologies, the leading provider of the multi-platform game development platform for Web, PC, Mac, Wii™ and iPhone, announced the award winners of its third annual contest.

This year, there were 129 submissions, twice the number of submissions last year, spanning four categories: Best Overall, Best iPhone Game, Best Visual Design and Best Technical Achievement; prizes totaled $9,500.

"We're continuing to see professional console-quality content as well as entries that are a little more experimental, a little more edgy and arty," said Nicholas Francis, Chief Creative Officer at Unity Technologies. "It's great that people are pushing this envelope a bit more, and for us that's an exciting part of making a tool.
