Two of the executive producers on blockbuster TV show Lost have stated that the videogame tie-in is being worked on at Ubisoft's Montreal studio and will be out later this year.

During a recently recorded podcast, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cruse also confirmed that the game is in development for multiple formats.

When asked whether Lost will be out on Xbox 360 by the end of the year Cuse replied, "Not just for Xbox [360]; it'll also be PS3 and PC compatible."

He continued, "We were sitting here with the guys that are making it, [who] actually are from Canada - Montreal. And they did a demo of some of the elements of it and it's really cool. It's actually going to be a pretty cool game."

Ubisoft first announced the acquisition of the Lost licence back in May 2006. The publisher also stated that tie-in games are in development for handheld consoles, but did not reveal which studio would be working on the project.

Ubisoft Montreal produced games in the hugely successful Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia series. The studio also working on PS3 and Xbox 360 title Assassin's Creed, due out later this year.

Ubisoft was unavailable for comment at the time of publication.
