Trilogy Logistics/The Producers deal

Teaming up to provide "full turnkey" manufacturing and distribution services.

UK distribution specialists Trilogy Logistics and The Producers have today announced a strategic partnership that will offer entertainment companies a full turnkey manufacturing, distribution and logistics service. Effective immediately, this will see both parties working together with existing partners to not only broaden out the existing menu of services, but offer even more value through the supply chain. Key to this initiative will be their Nintendo product assembly service which can offer savings of 20% on all printed parts as well as better control over inventory and financial flexibility. In addition, with the white label home delivery services and digital distribution services coupled with all the services Trilogy offers we believe there is a winning formula. Several video games companies are already using the services to their commercial advantage. Experienced games industry professional, Rob Gross, has joined the team as commercial director responsible for all new joint sales initiatives.

Andy Payne, managing director of Mastertronic, who own The Producers, said, 'I am really excited by this deal. Matthew Allen and his team have impressed me and the prospect of working with them and their customers opens up so many opportunities. Bringing Rob on board is inspired, I have worked with him in the past and he is exactly the right person to fit into both of our companies. Between us we have a great team of people, 160,000 sq feet of space and a reputation for reliability and putting customers' needs first. This all puts us well and truly on the map now. We have been the games industry's best kept secret for years, and now we intend to get a little more known.'

Matthew Allen, managing director of Trilogy Logistics added, 'I know that the reputation of The Producers is strong and am really looking forward to working closely with Andy and his team. We really do think that the games industry needs a credible and capable alternative to the current choice of suppliers and we intend to offer that choice. Between us we will offer a full range of services and with Rob being the first person to go live with TRILOGYi back in 2007 he also has a very good understanding of Trilogy's capabilities, we both know him well and are very confident he will make a massive difference'.

Rob Gross, commercial director of Trilogy Logistics summed up, 'I have worked with The Producers and Trilogy down the years and always enjoyed the experience. Andy and Matthew both focus on their partners and always offer solutions to all challenges, I have seen this first hand from my time within publishing. I have had twelve years of working in games publishing and know what publishers really need in terms of service levels. This is a real opportunity, one I am very excited about. Bring it on!'
