THE GAME FACTORY IS NOW PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF ITS SECOND GARFIELD GAMEBOY TITLE

Aarhus, Denmark, March 2006

THE GAME FACTORY has reached agreement with Paws, Inc. to develop and publish yet another Garfield game for the GBA format, and is set for release in April 2006. Paws, Inc. is a privately-owned company and the sole owner of the copyrights and trademarks for Garfield and the Garfield characters.

Garfield and His Nine Lives is a fantastically entertaining game for all ages, playing through twelve exciting platform games with different environments. All the games have interactive environmental elements, and hidden areas that reward players to go and explore. Garfield and His Nine Lives is full of the humour, light-heartedness and fun you are sure to find in the company of Garfield. The game play encourages teamwork, and helping the less fortunate. So come and join in on the fun, because the world's laziest cat is back!

GARFIELD was born on the comics pages on June 19, 1978. The brainchild of cartoonist Jim Davis, GARFIELD is a humorous strip centred around the lives of a fat, lazy, cynical orange cat who loves lasagne, coffee and his remote control.

GARFIELD was introduced to the world in just 41 newspapers, but soon became the fastest growing and most widely syndicated comic strip ever. Today, the strip appears in more than 2570 newspapers, and is read daily by 263,000,000 people around the globe. The success of the comic strip spawned a popular animated TV show, "Garfield & Friends," which is currently in worldwide syndication. Moreover, Garfield enjoys a healthy product-licensing program, with nearly 650 manufacturers cranking out thousands of products depicting Garfield and the rest of the gang. Garfield's vast empire stretches into 111 countries, and includes a popular web site, www.garfield.com.

In 2004, Garfield had his debut on the big screen, and GARFIELD THE MOVIE became a USD 198 million box office success. The sequel, "GARFIELD 2" is planned for release this summer.

"We are very satisfied with our agreement with Paws, Inc.," says Henrik Mathiasen, Managing Director of THE GAME FACTORY. "In 2005, we released Garfield - the Search for Pookey, which proved to be a huge success in Europe. The title was published in North America recently, and is on its way to achieving similar popularity in that market too. Garfield is loved and adored all over the world - an ideal character for a platform game, and we are in no doubt that Garfield and His Nine Lives will also be a success!"

The coming year will see more Garfield games from THE GAME FACTORY distributed on a number of platforms, so you can start looking forward to them already!
