Brant established Take-Two in 1993, and remained CEO until becoming chairman in February 2001 - just months before the company enjoyed huge success with the release of Grand Theft Auto III. He remained in that post until March 2004.

Brant's resignation from the company follows a four month period of disability leave. His replacement is yet to be announced.
