Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100

RuneScape publisher Jagex ranked one of Britain's fastest growing companies.

Sunday 20th September/... Jagex Games Studio, The UK's largest independent games developer and publisher, today received news it has achieved 22nd place on The Sunday Time Microsoft Tech Track 100 report. The report annually ranks Britain's fastest growing private technology companies based on sales growth over the last three years, from 2006 to 2009.

Companies on the league tables usually demonstrate a diverse range of products and services and this year is no exception with Jagex, a self-publishing games development studio with a player out-reach base well over 100 million, making the list.

Mark Gerhard, Jagex CEO said: “We are delighted we have been included in the report and are honoured to accept the award at the ceremony in November. At Jagex we are passionate about the games we make and the technology we have created to develop and deliver our games, creating fun is just part of our DNA. This drives us to innovate daily, make great games and fuels our pioneering R&D spirit in terms of tech; we work on the basis 'there is nothing we can't do given our talented staff and a little time'. Our values and passion have allowed us to grow one of the largest player communities in the world.”

The report was published this weekend as an eight-page broadsheet supplement in The Sunday Times (Sunday 20th September 2009). Jagex has been invited to attend the national awards ceremony hosted by Fast Track in November to collect their award for the achievement.

Now in its ninth year, The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 annual league table is compiled by Oxford-based research and networking events company Fast Track.
