"The G-Project" upgrade available from today, bringing a tuning system plus new tricks and track.

Press Release

For immediate release

Dublin, Ireland - 13th August 2009. The gPotato Europe team is proud to announce the second large Content Update for Street Gears, the free cel-shaded inline skating MMO, available in French and German markets in Europe. The update, titled “The G-Project” is available to all users who log in from today and will be applied by a patch.

After over thirty years of ongoing research, the Tuning System is finally available to all riders in Street Gears. Players can now tune up their skates to navigate Park Town even quicker, and there are now more tricks available than ever before. Three different types of tuning skates are available to purchase directly from the Tuning Shop – Speed, Type-X and Balance. Players will be able to get all the single tuning parts required to customise their skates.

A new racing track has also been introduced to Park Town. “Grunville” is a former military testing ground, and is also the birthplace of the Tuning System and home to its research headquarters. It is now available to all players, offering racers plenty of suspense and exciting surprises.

The “G-Project” patch also introduces new features through an enhanced user Interface, new motions for all tricks and movements, a free camera movement system (handy for recording races), new functional items, item bundles and quests. Players can also now send gPotato items as gifts to other players.

Street Gears is available in French and German at http://sg.gpotato.eu. To play it, simply register for a free gPotato.eu account, download the client and start racing in its vibrant cel-shaded world!
