SQUIBS ARCADE is already live on portable Apple platforms, and is currently featured in the what we are playing section on the iTunes store, today the 9th of June 2009.
Just who is SQUIBS ARCADE for though? Well, the team at ALTEN8 would like you to check out the videos which can be seen on the SQUIBS ARCADE web site at www.squibsarcade.com – This shows some of the actual team members who made SQUIBS ARCADE dressed as pirates, ghosts, and tea-dunkers, to explain that SQUIBS ARCADE is for everyone! Alten8 are inviting YOU to send in your videos to show who SQUIBS ARCADE is for, and we will show the best ones to the world on the site as well!!
Already widely talked about by gamers across the globe in its Wii-Ware version (also to be released shortly), it makes its début first on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
SQUIBS ARCADE is a collection of games which were initially based on the old-style LCD hand-helds. This germ of an idea then grew into a much bigger concept, with SQUIBS ARCADE taking inspiration from the current generation of AAA titles - distilling the game play to its most fundamental form, and re-imagining them with the style and passion of the classic LCD games. The titles within SQUIBS ARCADE for iPhone and iTouch are – Gun Cogs, Crowd Wader, Fantasy Turn Base, Call of Honour, Lots of Levelling, Cardboard Axel Mush, We're Fat, and Regret the Fist. These game titles are both homages and parodies of the games which inspired them! SQUIBS ARCADE appeals to casual game players and also hardcore game fans, who will recognise the tributes Alten8 is paying to their favourite games. Players will also enjoy the genuinely addictive game play to be found in SQUIBS ARCADE.
