Spark Unlimited Makes Kynapse Their Choice For The Next Generation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Paris/France, Sherman Oaks/California - October 26, 2006 - Kynogon, the gaming industry leader of artificial intelligence (A.I.) middleware solutions, and Spark Unlimited, developer of the critically acclaimed "Call of Duty: Finest Hour", have announced a global deal that will see Kynapse used as the studio's A.I. middleware choice for the development of their recently announced (tentatively titled) first-person shooter "Fall of Liberty" and a second unannounced title currently in production.

"We were looking for an A.I. solution that would transparently build on the capabilities of the Unreal engine," remarked Craig Allen, CEO at Spark Unlimited. "We chose Kynapse because it seamlessly integrated with what we already had in place and provided a framework to empower non-player characters (NPC's) with advanced behaviors. The game experiences we're building require unique and complex path-finding solutions due to the dynamic nature of the worlds we are creating. After evaluating a number of potential solutions, only Kynapse successfully addressed all of the challenges we were facing in our productions."

"Kynogon is very proud to work with Spark Unlimited," declared Pierre Pontevia, CEO of Kynogon. "Spark Unlimited is one of the most successfully managed independent game studios. The most prestigious game publishers such as Vivendi Games and Codemasters recognize the quality of games that Spark Unlimited produces and we look forward to a very productive long term strategic relationship."
