Rope Raider

Swing from building to building on your iPhone.

Tampere, Finland – November 5, 2009 – 10tons Ltd. announced today that Rope Raider is now available for iPhone™ and iPod touch®. Rope Raider is a rope swinging challenge set in an atmospheric cityscape.

"We loved to play these rope swinging games and that's why we wanted to create Rope Raider," commented Tero Alatalo, the CEO of 10tons Ltd. "I think it's one of the best rope swinging games for iPhone and iPod touch. Our goal was to create a tiny immersive world with great gameplay and some fun physics simulation. This is a game that practically anyone can pick up and enjoy."

In Rope Raider the basic game play consists of shooting a rope and then swinging forwards from building to building. The environment is an atmospheric dusky cityscape with ambient sounds and interesting visual effects. In total there are three game modes: Free Swingin', Coin Rush, and Speed Frenzy. In Free Swingin' the goal is to travel as far as possible while picking up any coin bonuses on the way. In Coin Rush the player has to collect as many coins as possible within a limited time. In the Speed Frenzy mode the player has to travel as far as possible within a limited time. All the modes come in three different difficulty levels. The difficulty level affects the placement and height of the buildings and also the time limits. The game has online leaderboards and the scores also float in the cityscape where the player can fly past them.

Rope Raider is now available from Apple’s App Store on iPhone or iPod touch at www.itunes.com/appstore. The game will be available for $0.99 until 15th of November 2009 and $1.99 thereafter. For more information, please visit www.roperaider.com.
