Registration opens for Indie Games Conference

GarageGames has announced that registration is now open for the fourth annual Indie Games Con 2005, scheduled to take place in Eugene, Oregon this coming October.

IGC is billed as "a fun, informal and informative gathering of independent game developers from around the world with the shared goal to focus on collaboration and building community."

Sessions focusing on game art, technology, tools and business are planned, and developers will be able to exhibit current prototypes, demos and newly-released games at the specially designed ShowOFF Center. Both commercial developers and hobbyists are invited to attend.

"IGC has become an annual pilgrimage to premiere new games and connect with like-minded entrepreneurs," commented GarageGames president Mark Frohnmayer.

"For three inspiring days, developers get to experience first-hand the excitement and momentum of the indie game development phenomenon that is bringing innovation and fun back to gaming."

The Indie Games Con will be held from October 7-9, and online registration is available via the IGC website. A three-day pass costs USD 195 until September 16, when the price will go up to USD 250.
