Whilst Chillingo's Cut the Rope deservedly gobbled up a gazillion sales - and candy - and ChAIR's epic Infinity Blade sent Apple's hype machine into overdrive, which were the best reviewed games?
To answer that very question and the similarly themed 'Which were the best reviewed apps?', here's the Quality Index ( Qi) round-up for 2010.
Aggregating the reviews from the world's best websites, such as 148Apps, Pocket Gamer, and Gamezebo, the Quality Index uses a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each iPhone title.

Ignoring the old cliché about marathons and sprints, Firemint's boundary breaking Real Racing 2 only motored onto the Qi chart in December, yet maintained its impressive start and nerve around the last bend to cross the finishing line first on the year-end rundown.
In the phenomenal racer's slipstream rolled Dark Nebula - Episode 2, an accelerometer driven platform title from 1337 Game Design that confounded and astonished in equal measure.
Gameloft's pair of twin-stick shooters Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus and N.O.V.A. 2 both carried out their maker's covert mission successfully, securing coveted spots on the best of 2010 battlefield amid shells raining down from rival outfits on an almost daily basis.
And
on the subject of precipitation, Digital Cyclone's meteorological maestro My-Cast Weather Radar fair stormed its way up the Qi apps leaderboard, the real time animations accurately forecasting its #1 position on our annual countdown.

n 2010, multimedia software designed to expand the iPhone's functionality to a frankly mind-boggling degree featured prominently in the upper echelons, led triumphantly by Sonos's wireless music streaming aid and InMethod's ingenious DivX conversion tool Air Video.
