Gateshead, UK, 16th March 2009 – Videogame developer Eutechnyx announces the appointment of Peter Johnson to the role of Executive Producer.
Peter joins the company with 25 years of experience in the games industry, including 5 years at Venom Games where he was Studio Head. With a background encompassing production, coding, music and art, Peter will oversee the development of Eutechnyx’ next generation character-based games in the role of Executive Producer.
“Eutechnyx’ driving technology is recognised as among the best in the world,” says Peter, “My primary role is to build upon that vehicle-based know-how in order to broaden the scope of the games we’re producing. Our goal is to become not only the world leader in vehicle simulations but also a world leader in the development of character-based games.”

Peter began his career in game development in 1983, as a programmer working for Superior Software, Ocean and Imagine on a number of 8-bit titles. During his 25 year career in the industry, Peter has worked on nearly 30 titles, including Rocky and Prey (Xbox 360). In 2003 he co-founded Venom Games as Studio Head, where he was responsible for supervising all aspects of in-house development. Venom Games was subsequently acquired by Take 2 in 2004.
Eutechnyx is an independent game developer based in the North-East of England. With a history spanning over 20 years, the studio has won numerous awards for its million-plus selling titles and garnered exceptional acclaim in the business sector.
