PAX 2009

Indie developers have mere days to get in their PAX 10 showcase submissions.

For Immediate Release

SEATTLE - April 28, 2009 - Time's running out. The organizers of the PAX gaming festival today gave the final call for this year's "The PAX 10" applications. Independent developers seeking to participate must submit their original game creations to http://paxsite.com/pax10.php by May 9 to be considered for the 2009 showcase.

A panel of 50 industry experts, including Penny Arcade's own Gabe and Tycho, will select the ten best submissions in terms of gameplay and overall "fun factor" for inclusion in The PAX 10. Winners will be announced in July and invited to show off their hard work in the PAX 2009 Exhibition Hall Sept. 4-6 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Those selected as members of The PAX 10 independent games showcase will receive:

• Recognition in an announcement on www.penny-arcade.com and www.paxsite.com as a member of The PAX 10

• Four PAX 2009 Exhibition Hall badges, granting access to everything regular exhibitors receive

• A kiosk in the PAX Exhibition Hall to demo their game to attendees, media and industry professionals

• Fame and glory!

"May 9 is just a few short days away," said Robert Khoo of Penny Arcade. "We have already gotten some great entries, but want to be sure that everyone interested gets the chance to send in their special something for consideration."
