Overloaded launches real-time mobile gaming service with Terraplay multiplayer platform
Stockholm, December 1st 2004, Terraplay Systems signs agreement with Overloaded, a leading Dutch developer and distributor and an Endemol owned company, to provide multiplayer gaming.
Overloaded is a leading international publisher and distributor of video games for mobile handsets. Overloaded creates interactive games for mobiles equipped with Java, Brew, I-mode and Symbian technology.
Overloaded provides gaming content direct to end users via their own delivery, billing and drm solution and also through major network operators in Europe, primarily in Holland, Belgium and Greece. Next to these territories Overloaded is also active in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Germany. Overloaded owns the rights to develop and exploit a number of top brands, including; Big Brother, Fear factor, Deal or no Deal, Xyanide, Largo Winch, Clusterball, Alpha Black Zero and many more.
With a service to be launched in January 2005, Overloaded will host a Terraplay system and provide a direct distribution and billing avenue for Terraplay enabled games to end consumers. Overloaded will take advantage of the market leading Terraplay technology to implement high quality multiplayer gaming functionality for some of its owned key titles.
