Navy Patrol:Coastal Defense™for iPhone and iPod touch brings several new layers to the Tower Defense genre by incorporating RPG and RTS elements into a 3D water-based environment powered by ICS Mobile's AWS™ Realtime 3D Fluid Simulation Engine.
On the gameplay front, Navy Patrol distances itself from basic path based Tower Defense games by providing gamers with the freedom to place “floating” defenses virtually anywhere on the ocean maps. The interactive gameplay is further enhanced by the presence of a built-in “smart” AI which dynamically adjusts the ships' path on their way to their respective attack ranges.
Another key features includes “the turret targeting system” which provides gamers with the flexibility to assign new target types to individual turrets such as the fastest, weakest or strongest ship . Gamers can also opt to upgrade the base's airfield to launch air raids.An embedded “Skill Tree System” further elevates the gameplay by periodically rewarding gamers with experience points. These points can be allocated among “Defense”, “Damage” or “Technology” categories which unlocks a variety of specials ranging from B52 air raids and missile barrages the unique to the unique “touch-guided"satellite laser attack or the Tsunami wave special.
