Stereoscopic 3D gaming outfit launches broadcast - in 3D, of course.

Toronto, Ontario, December 2, 2009 – Founded in 2007, “Meant to be Seen” has earned a strong reputation for advocating and being a catalyst for stereoscopic 3D gaming. So much so, it has become the largest S-3D gaming website in existence. To view the MTBS-TV inaugural broadcast please visit: http://mtbs3d.com/cgi-bin/rss.cgi?news_id=378

"Meant to be Seen has been reaching gamers since 2007, and the first thing we learned is you always need to try new ways to reach them. MTBS-TV is our latest effort," said Neil Schneider, President of Meant to be Seen.

Featuring Neil Schneider as its host, it's broadcast through a 3D webcam and can be viewed in true 3D using modern S-3D displays like 3D monitors, HDTVs, and more on the Internet. MTBS-TV's charm is its down to earth style and level headed analysis on the S-3D gaming industry.

The first episode features coverage of James Cameron's Avatar video game in 3D, an explanation of how the game works with different S-3D technologies, and more.

"I joke about the production values - I've never taken myself too seriously. However, there is nothing cooler than to show video clips of games in S-3D or having our logo pop out of the screen. It's really a lot of fun to watch and make these videos. However, MTBS isn't the only pioneer in this. One of our members, Yuriy Nikshych, has been at this for some time with Stereo3D News. He practically begged us to do the same. What gamers ask, gamers get."

Neil Schneider's second responsibility is being the Executive Director of the non-profit S-3D Gaming Alliance (S3DGA). With the sole interest of making S-3D gaming successful in the home, S3DGA was launched in September of this year at the 3D Entertainment Summit, and is the recognized voice for the stereoscopic 3D gaming industry.

To date, S3DGA members include DDD, iZ3D, RealD, Sensio, XpanD, John Peddie Research, Blitz Games Studios, TDVision Corp. and more. Leading advisory board members include Habib Zargarpour, Senior Art Director for Electronic Arts, and Neil Trevett, President of the Khronos Group and VP of Mobile Content at NVIDIA.

"I'm very proud of what S3DGA and MTBS have achieved. While we are supportive of other organizations writing reports about the S-3D gaming industry, it's equally if not more important to actually be in the trenches with game developers and gamers alike. This is what our three year track record is based on."

S3DGA members receive a complimentary copy of the U-DECIDE Initiative report. Nearly 80 pages in length, it features actual customer feedback from traditional 2D gamers and experienced stereoscopic 3D gamers. Considered one of the most influential and informative reports in S-3D gaming, it was co-developed with AMD, Blitz Games Studios, The Game Creators, iZ3D, Guild Software, and Meant to be Seen.

Neil Schneider will be attending the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 5-10, 2010 and meeting arrangements can be scheduled via Carol Warren.
