mScribble

Music improvisation app gets an update and a Music Library.

For Immediate Release

New York, NY -- January 17, 2011 -- Appular releases the latest update for its music improvisation app, mScribble, a finalist for the Best Musical App of 2010 for iPhone and iPod touch. The app’s newly added Music Library will enable users to manage, organize, and replay all of their favorite saved recordings, as well as download recordings to their computer using the iTunes File Sharing option. This update also includes two new musical styles for users to discover and dive into, including the ubiquitous Canon in D major. With these awesome new features, mScribble is the ultimate music improv tool for mobile devices!

The mScribble Music Library enables users to easily access their recordings in-app and on their computers. In the saved recordings feature, files can now be renamed before or after saving to the music library with additional buttons for alternative list editing. Using the new slider on the main menu, users can listen, send, and manage saved recordings as well as control the volume of accompaniment in each musical composition.

mScribble also introduces two new musical styles for users to explore. The first, Pachelbel’s Finger, is a special mScribble arrangement of Pachelbel’s Canon in D major. The second, Echo Canyon, contains no bass line but uses an ocarina acoustic melody to capture the harmonic expression of an awe-inspiring landscape. Now with twelve different music styles and four “sound colors” that alter underlying tones, everyone can channel their hidden talents for extemporizing remarkable and beautiful musical expressions.

“We made several changes to mScribble’s user interface to allow for more flexibility when users manage their creations in the app,” says David Place, Founder of Panpipes Ho!. “In addition, we added Pachelbel’s Canon in D major, a piece that permeates our culture and has even been used as the bass line of many popular songs in all styles. We thought it would be fun for our users to improvise their own canonic creations in mScribble while using a bass line that has been as popular and widely used as this one.”
