Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH today announced that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots, the fourth installment of one of the most popular videogame franchises of all-time, has received multiple gaming awards including accolades such as “Best Action Game”, “Best PLAYSTATION®3 Game”, “Best Graphics”, and the highly coveted, “Game of the Year”, from a variety of gaming media.

Created by legendary video game developer and head of Kojima Productions, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots marks the final installment in the legendary saga of Solid Snake. The originator of the stealth-action genre, the Metal Gear franchise has been around for more than 20 years since its debut in 1987 with Metal Gear for the Nintendo Entertainment system.
